Introduction of “On- line Season Ticket Payments”
We are about to introduce a system of on line payments for your season tickets renewals and for new member applications. This has come about due to popular demand from our members and potential members in a move to recognise that this method of payment supersedes the cheque and Postal order alternatives and for some is the preferred method of payment.
This will be a simple system as used on many online sites where the goods (Season Tickets, Keys etc.in our case) will be placed in a “Shopping Basket’ and then paid for using Credit or Debit cards. The season tickets and Keys will be then sent to your home address within 10 days of placing the order and paying for tickets. £1.50 will added to each transaction to cover the cost of the Packing and Postage.
Importantly - the other methods of ticket renewals will continue as before – but we saw this as the next stage of our member requirements as cheque books and postal order use becoming less popular.
The only “new member” ticket that will not be purchased on line will be the “Premium Tickets” – these will continue to be managed and issued in the same way as previously by Mr. Ian Hole (Ticket Secretary) – notification will be from Ian when a ticket becomes available to you after being on the waiting list.
Existing Premium ticket holders will be able to re new on line.
This system will be new to us and as such there may be some initial teething problems – when problems are encountered we will work closely with our web managers to correct or change the system as necessary so please bear with us on this.
Hopefully we will have three months’ experience in selling and operating on this system prior to the main influx of sales which occur between March and July so that glitches may be ironed out prior to this.
