Abandoned tent

I fished sawley last night... arrived at around 11pm to find a 4man tent pitched up in the slack water peg [below weir on canal side] where i intended to fish, thinking there were anglers there i took a wide berth to not disturb them and went and set up in the "third whole" between the reeds. Turned my alarms on the lowest volume, again to not disturb them and had a totally pikeless night, though i did get some attention from eels. When it was first light, just after switching my baits and recasting i caught a glance of the tent door which flapped up by the wind... i realised straight away that the tent was empty... one end was flooded in the margins. Walked over to check and the peg was an absolute disgrace! the amount of litter and crap they'd left was embarrassing. If this was a member who did this they should be ashamed of themselves!!!! Although i expect it was people fishing without permits.

My question is this... how often do baliffs patrol the trent anf the derwent? I only fish the rivers and the last time i saw a baliff was june 16th 2005.

On a lighter note... i managed to get a 13lbs 5oz pike which was my only run and is my biggest of the season so far
