It’s a shame there hasn’t been any offers yet. I would love to get involved but it’ll have to wait until retirement i’m afraid, another 5 or so years. I’m a shift worker and work weekends too so sadly unable to commit at present.
I learned to fish on the POD some 40 years ago, long before car access and the walk to the longhorse bridge was the worst part of a days fishing! My grandson is a canal member and he’s really enjoyed pike fishing on the river with me. His first was a ‘pencil’ on a spinner under the M1 bridge but they got bigger and he’s in the 20 club now with a 20.10 from the weir field.

I think this is deffo a good think as i struggle with my 2 boys as not all venues like kids being on there site. Also the issue is if they have to stay at my peg i need them to pitch a small tent which again has caused me issues.
So yes getting the younger ones more involved and lessons would be good
