Chris,
I would start off on Grimshaws, you wont go far wrong on there. Many baits will catch, I personally have done well on Corn, Boilies and also spodding over zigs. Fish follow the wind in there but are always catchable from the far margin (Nature Reserve) Fished from the road bank, you will notice a lot of anglers fish that area but don’t ignore other areas of the lake. I have had red letter days fishing the top end of the lake (car park, entrance end) middle of the lake and constant feeding of bait once they get on it. I have put 10k of sweetcorn in before and sat on it for a couple of days, then once the fish come it’s mayhem, double takes, triple takes….its all part of the fun!
Then there is redhouse, have to have your whit about you, quiet and pretty good watercraft but they are catchable and the rewards are amazing. You can expect a few blanks along the way though 🙂
Cant really comment on the river, ulley or grimleys…never fished them..
Good luck and tight lines 🙂
