I am sorry you could not find a fishable peg on the Derwent – George Elliott spent considerable time clearing footpaths and pegs prior to the season but it seems they have become overgrown to some extent due to the hot weather – but i must say that if you spent maybe 10 minutes when you found the desired area you wished to fish you could clear a peg of weed easily. This would help the next angler and the area would become reestablished -and if possible help the club and your fellow anglers where you can.
Come on we cannot make “armchairs” everywhere, we have spent large sums making up pegs on the Trent – Ully Gully – Grimshaws and the other lakes this year – we cannot do everything – its your club as well so your help in this small matter would be appreciated.
