Biggest Iv seen is 17lb.heard plenty saying they’ve had 20’s but not seen any pics.the water is big enough and deep enough to contain 20+ Easily and especially with how much bait goes in there.not heard of anything bigger than a 20 come out

Thanks for the information mate I really appreciate it. On the website it says they go up to 30lb in there, I just thought it would be a nice little lake to drop onto for the winter with the chance of a 30. I know it’s a totally different water but I’ll turn my attention to Red House and have a good read up looks a cracking water. 🙂

It wouldn’t surprise me if there were fish close or just above 30lb.if I was after a 30 (which I am) I wouldn’t go on grimshaws.
Regarding redhouse it’s a cracking lake,I struggle on there (not the best angler) but I still go back for more blanking.lol.theres more fish in there than what people make out,Iv seen pics of a fair few fish in there.

I prob won’t be in there again till end of March.its starts getting busy round that time (weekends) as well due to ppl wanting the big uns out wen spring comes so the earlier you get there the better.lol.
It’s down about 3ft in depth at the mo,need some good rain to bring it back up a touch.
If you was a derby fan you would have no chance.lol.seeing as your a fellow red no problems chatting.lol.biggest Iv had out there is 24lb,but will be after the bigger ones com March-April

Good angling mate. Iv had a tough season on grimshaws this year, if you don’t mind me asking what bait/ methods are you currently using on there?
