Some nice fish there guys, as I am a new member and have not fished grimshaws as yet but intend to in the next week as it looks sooooooo good and the new pegs look fantastic! Now I’m not a big carp fisherman but like to fish for anything, am looking forward to a bit of waggled fishing or maybe even the pole. I heard there is some really good roach in here, any of you guys know what else there is to be caught?

Both me and Tony are new members this year and them 11 fish he caught were his first carp!! Pat on the back I think.
Myself I’m on redhouse chasing them big ones, don’t really no a lot about grimshaws apart from cast to the bank opposite the road or walk round and margin fish like tony did. Supposed to be a few foot drop at the edge of the reeds then the depth goes back up again, they feed there. Not sure what else is in there but been told that the carp can go up to good teens.

Been down to grimshaws last night for a hour before dark, found the peg in corner near gate a bit sheltered in the rough weather, tried the pole just with maggots along the reeds there and was pleasantly surprised when float went down after about half hour to a perch about a pound, another one followed about 12 oz 20 mins later, was well pleased, now just need to find some of them roach!!

Some more nice fish from grimshaws been down 2 week ago had 12 Carp over the weekend and been down for few hours on Friday had 5 carp seem to be feeding well 🙂
