Hi Jeff. Be nice to see you back on the bank again, missed my cuppa tea on my rounds. Anyway yes there’s been some nice fish showing and in really cracking condition. Hope to see you in the week for a chat. Ian

You have no time for cups of tea – you should be working – what is this club coming to ?

Had an awesome time and just timed it right with the adverse weather coming in.
Nice to be back and nice to see you Ian after so long.
Quite how you ride around doing your job holding a mug of tea I find remarkable.!!!
Had a few nice fish most of which were well into double figures and all but one fully scaled
    mirrors looking in great condition.

Nice to see the modern look of the web site, now lets have more constructive comments
though it’s quite pleasing to see people are concerned over your social welfare??
    Jeff. :woohoo:

Alan. We all need a watering point during our time at work, at least I have mine on the move..!! Even my dog gets a tipple on the bank now and then..!!

Had a cracking two hours on Grimshaws before sunset this evening after walking around the other lakes and spotting nothing moving. Plenty of runs (nearly one every 12 minutes). Most were small fish but one bronze coloured apple slice mirror at about 10lb and a couple of mint condition commons which are on their way to becoming doubles. Good to know it can be a runs water on its day- although I have blanked on there before- and to see some nice fish growing on well.

Hi Andy. Thanks for that, i’ll put these onto the Catch Report for February. Nice to see Lobs being used, not very often used anymore. Ian

I thought I might as well use them seeing as they have been so easy to get with all this wet weather.
Plus, the smaller worms that have been caught went in to making the chopped ground bait mix.

Nice to know someone catching the stripes , takes me back a bit, is that the biggest youve had in there?

It’s the biggest so far, especially when I was specifically targeting them.
I know the carp can be a bit tricky in this weather that’s why I only brought one rod for carp, quiver for the perch plus a spinner rod.
Not really had much success on the latter, but still keep having a chuck around when I can.
