Fished the small pond for the first time I 50 years in that blistering sunny day last week. Caught about 80 odd small roach and rudd up to about 4 oz mainly little uns, what a lovely pond. Looks about 4 times the size I can remember.

Been down twice on a Saturday over the last 3 weeks and I have enjoyed my fishing the last time I went was a little harder but still had a few.thanks to the two brothers who gave me some maggots. Loved catching the rudd and roach been some time since I targeted these . It’s a lovely spot and everyone who pop’s down are very helpful with hints and tips.just need to fix my car and I will be down again

Been to the small pond Saturday and Sunday. Fish are fickle creatures cos on Saturday nice Rudd on sweet corn fished over castors was all they were interested in, not a bite on bread, luncheon meat or castors. On Sunday nice Rudd again but only on castors nothing else got a bite. Makes it interesting. For a change wanted to try floaters for carp, bought some mixers and they sank. Will try next batch out in sink.
