Hi Andy, I only joined Pride late 2013 so only had chance to fish the Trent & the Gully so far. I do however fancy giving the Derwent a go this year after the closed season, as to where to Fish “Not a clue” , But I have been told that there’s some cracking fish to be had in the right spots.

    Hi Bob
I only had two sessions on the Derwent, and both times I had to take my scythe with me to cut down the vegetation to get to a peg.
It looked like not many people had been on the Derwent.
Unfortunately, I didn’t catch on both occasions but that does not deter me. Obviously if I had gone back to the same pegs and prebaited a little more, I might have caught.
There are some really good spots that I would like to try, and I’m definitely going back to the weir.
The only problem I have got is that I’m walking disabled and can’t carry all that much gear, so if my missus doesn’t come along with me, I have to fish the pegs near the car parks.
Hopefully this summer is going to be better than last year and we can get out more.
I would love to have a session with you one day, as I’m after a PB Barbel. Anything in double figures as my PB only stands at 9lb 2oz
Good luck for the coming season.

Hi. I’ve fished it since June and only Chub so far, but seen plenty of Barbel and have had them to over 10. (A while ago though) if your down one day we can meet up and share experience mate. Its beautiful this year too. Next weeks will be tough as it’s so hot and levels will drop. But let me know. Cheers.
