I walked round the weir a couple of days ago. I passed a few anglers leaving for home and also saw loads of beer cans near the site you mention. As I walked round the river, there were a bunch of young anglers setting up, they had their lady friends with them also.
I was surprised to see the amount of rubbish around the place too.
If I would have had my ticket with me, I would have asked them to see theirs as I believe we should all be able to ask to see each other’s ticket.

Ha ha, I forgot to mention, I would love the job of bailiff. But that isn’t going to happen

Wouldnt mind doing that if we could stop the people who are fishing there who shouldnt , dont think proper members are doing it .. this is the forth sesion on a row on the river now that i havent seen a bailif, the season has just started ..

There’s a otter in the river now at Sawley so fish will all be gone soon…what’s the point

Just the 6 eastern Europeans on the pod trent at sawley today. ….catching their tea. One had a jack in a carrier bag. Usual amounts of beer cans etc left behind. No sign of any club bailiffs. I despair. 🙁
