Being trying to find out the same sort of info myself. Looks like it is a “suck it & see” water rather than a “social” water where information flows freely. When info has flowed on the bankside, everybody seems to contradict each other, so probably best to do all the work yourself and reap the rewards that way. Much more satisfying IMHO than turning up and chucking to x amount of wraps because someone said they had the Common off of it in 2014.

If only one thing worked on the water everyone would be doing it.fact is people catch on all sorts of tactics and not one tactic sticks out hence the contradictions.thats not people being misleading, they are trying to help but it seems some want you to fish for them.thats not me being a **** thats just how it seems sometimes.iv prob done 20-25 nights on there for a bream and 1 carp,I’m not the best angler far from it but Iv only been carp fishing 3years.
Redhouse is a notoriously hard water and you have to catch it on a good day.
Iv spoke to plenty of ppl on there and they have been fine Iv never asked for tactics or what baits they use but some have told me what they use.so it’s hardly unsocial it just doesn’t get plastered all over the Internet which is a good thing in my opinion.
Regarding stocking nobody really knows as when the Trent flooded a few years ago it flooded into redhouse so some could of got out and others could of got in.i would say it’s a low stock of carp in there but I do know there are 40+ carp over 15lb in there.

Sorry chap, but have me all wrong! You say you have been carp fishing for 3 years. I was carp fishing when carp fishing was unheard of basically & everything was “hush hush” & proper secret squirrel (where bivvy doors were zipped up if you were seen walking along the bank & when you got passed them, they were unzipped). Redhouse is not one of those waters that requires “hush hush” tactics or people trying to mislead others (a lot of it is down to DRAC members giving out bum info to Pride members & vice versa) as it is not an easy water (I would not class it as a hard water like Wraysbury 1, Yateley Car Park, Fen Drayton, etc of old by a long shot). I don’t want people telling me where to fish, what to use & etc. That’s for ME to work out. What I don’t want is people deliberately misleading other anglers which is what seems to be the going way in my experience on there. It is almost as if other members don’t want “new faces” on the water. Seems like I have wasted my money this year on renewing the ticket because I doubt I will be doing any more time down Redhouse as it is a shame that DRAC members can fish with more rods & have totally different rules to Pride for the same venue! I have had DRAC members try to tell me that the deep water is 7 foot deep at max yet chuck a Deeper or Marker out to find 26ft+.
I now know why anglers that are “known” in the industry screw their face up when you mention Redhouse.
Don’t get me started on drones either…

Lol.i mentioned how long I had been fishing as to not mislead you into thinking I know a lot.my post wasn’t aimed at one person is was in general.you can only be mislead if you take there word for things, you should know in fishing that ppl don’t always tell the truth.when you sit in a peg on a river or a pond you don’t tell other anglers that you’ve been having a storming day because you know the next time you go they will be in that peg.the best ppl to talk to are the bailiffs as they have no reason to lie or bend the truth.
