To be fair ian those who fish pride would of had to of been fishing these waters for 4+ years so is a warning acceptable?they know the rules and should adhere to them.warning for leaving a bag of rubbish yes but a warning for using the wrong gear which is in the rule book that could damage a fish’ health should be a loss of membership in my eyes.
I know your trying to be fair but it’s in the rules for a reason and those who have been there for 4+ years should know better.

Of course you are correct – i wish all our members thought the same – a warning of the fact that this type of check will be made may prompt immediate action to make sure that members are fishing safe – and perhaps save a fish from this type of miserable end that 27 lb carp had.
But please be sure we will take necessary action against anglers who abuse the clubs and common sense rules.
    Thank you for your support

If you put a warning in place people will still risk using those types of rigs as the chance of getting caught will be slim and a stamp on there book is nothing to them, but put a membership loss as a potential punishment on the first time they get caught fewer will risk it and if they do risk it and get caught they obviously don’t care about the waters they are fishing.zero tolerance should be applied in my eyes to keep the waters safe from mindless anglers.
It may sound harsh but there’s rules for a reason and this rule is of the upmost importance to the safety of the cracking fish this complex offers to its members.

Mr. LACHOJSKI – ( sorry i don’t know your christian name ) You are of course correct – we will decide at the time of the check if the rule has been broken of what action is to be taken – could be loss of Ticket for most serious offence or ticket marked to indicate first offence of less serious nature – but to be sure any offence following ticket being marked “will” result in ticket loss.

My Christian name is Richard.its just a shame that anglers can’t follow simple rules that are there to benifit the fish and the waters.anglers who decide to break these rules for a trophy fish arnt anglers in my eyes.
I’m only a standard ticket holder and love the complex, would be a massive loss to pride of one of the big uns was lost due to a person using rigs they know they shouldn’t.

    A very saddening tale indeed.
I actually posted these questions quite some time ago in order to seek clarification but the thread slipped by unanswered:

I fully agree that people breaking the rules should be dealt with accordingly. I know that the officials do this in the correct manner and effectively on this syndicate so a big well done to them. Rules are rules and they’re put in place for the benefit of fish welfare, and for the members to enjoy the sport. Why people feel the need to bend these rules baffles me!!!
I just can’t see why anyone would want to risk they’re ticket they’ve waited years for too???

As an aside note to rule breaking, i had to report one member this morning for fishing three rods, carp style (legering with buzzers etc), in the “float only” Poysers Pond. I rang to inform the bailiff and was told i could approach the said offender myself but as i had my 6 year old son with me, i didn’t feel i could approach the member in case they told me where to go! It clearly states the rules in the book, there aren’t many but they all need to be adhered to.
