The reason i note the terms on the Poysers pond application is because this “thread” is on the Poysers pond item on the Forum – we will review for the other lakes when we fully understand the pressure on those lakes – at present it seems all is going very well with less than anticipated pressure. Will update later today when we know more.

The 48 hour limit and 96 hour return is totally focussed on the Carp Lakes – come and go as often as you like on the Poysers Pond and the Ully Gully

The basis for the 48 hour limit is intended as an initial approach to manage a potential demand exceeding supply of available pegs on the lakes. By allowing on 48 hours sessions maximum this would allow all anglers to have an opportunity over a period to fish, as opposed to some anglers occupying pegs for 4 or 5 continuous days.

I think it will not be long before we get back to normal demand for pegs and the need for these restrictions will no longer be necessary

The announcement concerning the use of the fishery for 48 hours was only intended for anglers fishing in the carp lakes – for Poysers and the Ully Gully normal rules apply – come and go as you wish – all pegs are more than 3 metres apart so no need for additional distancing.

It is intended that we only have representatives there at the start of the first day to ensure smooth transition of “no anglers” to a significant number of anglers within a short period of time.

In addition always ensure that you comply with the rules of social distancing- any non compliance of this rule will result in you being told to leave the site whichever area of the complex or fishery you use.

Great news – Stuart has obtained further loads of stone and the pegs on the Pride lake and all other lakes are now finished

Stuart says that he has made a good start on the pegs on Pride Lake – but has now run out of stone ? Stuart is to call the quarry on Tuesday and see if another load can be delivered – be assured though that all will be good at the NEW start of fishing on the lakes.

Another lake record from the Pride Lake – this is a 47lbs 4oz Common caught on 26th January by Joe Chewner ( note this is a different fish to that caught last September)

Hi Rich
The Typical stamp of fish in this pond is carp in range of 2 to 5 lbs -around 500 of them some bigger carp to 14Lbs – roach to 1 lb ( large quantity ) and bream sizes 1lb to 5 lbs with one of over 10lbs other than this there are perch and tench ( tench were stocked but rarely seen).

Fishes all year round so give it a try –
