Thanks. It just goes to show that they’re in there and they’re catchable. Just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Good luck on Wednesday.

Had a good first session of 2014 on Grimshaws today. Landed seven and lost one. Five of them commons. The best was this 14lb 6oz common (below) and a 10lb football mirror. Looking forward to another good season ahead.

Hi stinger. Is the photo you posted the 40 that came out of Redhouse ? I’ve copied and posted it again here so everyone can have a good look at it. What a fish! Do you know who caught it?

(PS I don’t think it actually costs POD anything if members post their own catches on the forum. So hopefully this won’t put up the ticket prices one penny!)

It works! Nice one. It opens up even more possibilities. We can now have episodes of Pride TV!

I have been working them add photo buttons like a robot Jesus, just added 40 pictures which I have hand picked out of about 200 photos. There are some cracking fish in Grimshaws, some proper stunning fish. Be nice when they getting to upper doubles with all that bait that keeps going in :-)[/quote]

Only a matter of time I reckon. You and your son have already had a few cracking commons and fully scaled mirrors by the look of it. Good fishin’!

Great shots Alan. Keep them coming! What’s your biggest from Grimshaws? Mine’s still only about 10lb but I do enjoy it.

God bless you my son! Here’s another one from Olvers? It’s a distinctively marked 27lber (looks like it’s been bitten by a vampire) and my third biggest from this lake. I’ve also had a 28lber but no other 30’s yet, although I’ve heard of a few being caught. I like the photo as it seems well taken (thanks Nick!) and it’s always nice to catch a big one on a sunny day. I have no idea why they call me Jesus though!

Cheers Alan. I hope this post might help others to post their pictures. Just to be clear – if anyone wants to, all you need to do is select your photo by pressing on “add a file” in the attachments box beneath your draft message and then press submit. Don’t bother to preview as the picture doesn’t seem to show when you do this. Simples. Only takes seconds.

Here’s one of Pride at its fullest last winter. Let’s hope its bit dryer this time around.

Had a cracking two hours on Grimshaws before sunset this evening after walking around the other lakes and spotting nothing moving. Plenty of runs (nearly one every 12 minutes). Most were small fish but one bronze coloured apple slice mirror at about 10lb and a couple of mint condition commons which are on their way to becoming doubles. Good to know it can be a runs water on its day- although I have blanked on there before- and to see some nice fish growing on well.
