Regarding your question relating to taking your partner / Wife with you for company, yes we do allow this but they must stay with you at all times and NOT wonder around our site, also they are not allowed to fish at any time, they must hold a valid Season Ticket to fish our waters. Hi Simon. You will find Perch in all of our waters, However Redhouse Lake will most likely hold the larger ones. This Lake produced on many years ago at 5Ib-03oz , also Grimshaws Lake holds some lovely Perch and plenty of them. Best of luck. Ian

Hi Numpty. Firstly may I thank you on behalf of the Pride of Derby for your efforts in collecting discarded rubbish left by other Ticket Holders who disrespect our Fishery. Its a shame when there’s a handful of people who don’t appreciate what we offer, hopefully these culprits will be identified and removed from our club waters never to return. Hi Dean. Sorry for the delay in responding to your question. As you’ve noted we don’t have any ruling relating to the use of Braided Main-line, this really is down to the individual, however we would recommend Braid to be used as a Leader due to the amount of Zebra Muscles that exist in our lakes. The use of Braided Main Line will create problems if a fish becomes snagged in any way. If you have any problems or concerns relating to this whilst on the bank please call one of our site Bailiffs, these guys will answer any questions you have. Regards Ian

Hi. Yes I’m afraid the Lock Barrel came detached from the lock a couple of days ago. A new Gate Lock has now been cased and will be fitted at some point this week. Please note that this gate will continue to be locked overnight as a Security precaution for our Fishery. Regards Ian

Hi. The Main Lake complex is still currently closed off following the high water levels and Safety issues around the lakes, although the water is now receding its going to take a little time to get back to normal.

No I’m afraid not, water levels are still high on all Lakes and Ponds. As I’ve said in my previous post you would be advised to contact a Bailiff prior to Fishing, wellingtons / waders are still required. Ian

Your welcome Richard. The Barrier to Redhouse Lake has now been opened for vehicles as the water level has now reduced. “However” caution is still required if any of our members are intending to fish whilst water levels are so high. The levels in Pride Lake have now receded due to the Flap-valve being opened today, unfortunately Olvers / Grimshaws and Poysers Pond are still extremely high, so as stated in my previous post please contact a site Bailiff prior to making your journey to fish.
